This year, in observance of #MLKDay, MoGo wrote personalized letters to law enforcement agencies on behalf of community members inquiring about their documentation status.

MoGo is excited to partner with Motivation.In.Action (MIA) and the Coalition for Police Accountability & Transparency (CPAT) for the next installment of Transformational Tuesdays - A Criminal Justice Reform Speaker Series where we will discuss the need for police accountability, addressing racial profiling, and the PrOTECT ordinance.

We came together with other community members Friday, July 30, 2021 at 5:30pm for "PrOTECT our Communities" - a Community Townhall on Biased Policing in San Diego! We heard about @cpatsandiego's efforts to address racial profiling and how communities members can join us in effecting real change in policing.

A Community Forum on Lincoln High School was held on Monday, July 26, 2021. We came together as a Community to talk solutions.

MoGo hosted a virtual conference: Decriminalizing Neighborhoods, from July 23-25, 2021 where community organizers, academics, practicing lawyers, and community leaders and members discussed the policing and criminalization of neighborhoods. Conference speakers include: San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, Antonio “King Tone” Fernandez, and California State Senator Sydney Kamlager.
