Sabrina Callahan is a San Diego native and fervent community advocate who is interested in grassroots organizing. She intends to make a systemic impact in public policy in favor of local criminal-legal reform. She is also a small business owner in the legal field offering Service of Process.
As an alumna of the University of California, Santa Barbara Sabrina had the opportunity to compete as a collegiate athlete as well as become a member of the Underground Scholars Initiative supporting formerly incarcerated and system impacted students. She is also a proud member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.
Before coming on board as the Community Empowerment Coordinator, Sabrina’s post-graduation commitments focused on community engagement. As such Sabrina is a member of San Diego Reentry Roundtable, Community Advocates for Accountability, and enjoys volunteering for La Jolla Country Day School’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Department.
Sabrina’s goal is to continue getting into “good trouble” in the words of John Lewis and believes that The Marathon Continues on the journey towards community empowerment, self-determination, and state accountability.
